G. Alan Binkley, MD, FACS, FAAOS is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon. Dr. Binkley has earned Board-Certification repeatedly. First, he was Board-Certified from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 1991. Next, Dr. Binkley earned Board-Certification from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in 1995, and obtained Re-Certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 2005. Board Re-Certification is a program to demonstrate continued expertise as an orthopedic surgeon. In addition, he successfully completed the Principles of Surgery Examination by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1988.
Dr. Binkley is honored with the prestigious distinction of being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCS©), and Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (FAAOS).
Dr. Binkley earned his Medical Degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. He completed his Surgical Internship at the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada and his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. Dr. Binkley successfully pursued an Arthroplasty (Total Joint Replacement) and Arthroscopic Orthopaedic Surgery Fellowship at Chedoke-McMaster Hospital, in Hamilton, Canada. In addition to his Medical Degree, Dr. Binkley also holds Degrees in Physical Therapy and Physical Education.
